Itinerary:

DAY 1 : Baku   

  • Meet our tour leader at Airport and transfer to hotel.
  • Free time.

DAY 2:  Baku – Heydar Aliyev Center, Alley of Honor, Highland Park, Icheri sheher, Baku Boulevard

  • Our Baku sight seeing tour starts with visiting Heydar Aliyev Center.The cultural center of The Alley of Honor is a public cemetery and memorial in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Alley includes burials of famed Azerbaijanis and Azerbaijan-affiliated expatriates, including several Presidents, scientists and artists.
  • The Inner City of Baku, along with the Shirvanshah’s Palace and Maiden Tower, The city is renowned for its harsh winds, which is reflected in its nickname, the “City of Winds”.
  • Modern Baku-Highland Park (Dag Ustu Park) – Panoramic view of Baku Bay from the highest point of the city.Name Highland Park received due to its location.   

Day 3: BakuNakhchivan

  • Transfer from hotel to Heydar Aliev Airport. Fly to Nakhchivan. 
  • Meeting our guide there and transfer to hotel.

  • Alinja Qala (Alinja Fortress) Tour –You will visit Alinja Qala (Alinja Fortress). During Teymur’s attack to Nakhchivan in 1386, 1392 and 1399 the fortress served as a head quarter and place of treasure of ruling Atabayler dynasty.
  • As’hab – Kahf” Caves-Drive to “As’hab – Kahf” Caves ,”The companions of the cave” based on old Greek legend “Seven sleepers of Ephesus“).
  • Excursion to Duzdag Cave Sanatory – Located 12km from Nakhchivan city, Duzdag, which translates as ‘Salt Mountain’, is an old salt mine which since 1979 has functioned as a pioneering physiotherapy centre in the use of speleotherapy to alleviate respiratory diseases.
  • Batabat Lake – Driving around the autonomous republic promises endless spectacular views of dramatic mountains. However, one of the most iconic natural sights is hidden in the Shahbuz region at 2,500 metres above sea level where an enchanting floating peat island drifts mysteriously across picturesque Lake Batabat.
  • Khans Palace – While in Nakhchivan City, history lovers shouldn’t miss visiting the Nakhchivan Khans’ Palace, whose exquisite Oriental style blends almost seamlessly into the region’s orange hued terrain.
  • Open Air MuseumThe museum situated in Ajami Seyranjahi, Nakhchivan city center was established in accordance with the order (dated 11 July 2002) of Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.Ram statues made of different types of stones have special places as products of creativity of Azerbaijani artists among the exhibits in the museum.
  • Momine Khatun Mausoleum – This region is also scattered with unique architectural monuments.
  • Axmed Djavad Mauoleum – The complex was erected on the initiative Heydar Aliyev, the third president of Azerbaijan. Graves of Mishkinaz khanim – Huseyn Javid’s wife, Ertoghrul – Huseyn Javid’s son and Turan khanim – Huseyn Javid’s daughter are also in a vault of the mausoleum.

Day 4: NakhchivanBaku

  • Transfer to airport, fly to Baku. 
  • Free time in Baku. 
  • Overnight Baku.

Day 5: Baku – Departure

  • Check-out from the hotel till noon.
  • Free time until transfer to Baku International Airport.
  • End of the tour.

    I am thinking of visiting Nakhchivan with my wife from May 25 thru May 28. If possible, we want to join in an English speaking tour group. Can you please check and advise what tour is available and how much it will cost for us (2 persons)?
