Day 1: Baku – arrival
Arrival in Baku. You will be met by our driver and transferred to the hotel. Check-in. Free time.
Day 2: Baku
Breakfast in hotel. Our Baku sight seeing tour starts with visiting Baku Old City. In old city you can visit
1) Palace of Shirvanshahs
It is the historical monument of of the Azerbaijan architecture, situated in the Inner City of Baku, named “Icheri sheher”. The complex contains the main building of the palace, Divanhane, the mosque with a minaret and the remnants of the bath-house
2) Maiden Tower
The Maiden Tower also known locally as Qiz Qalasi, located in the Icheri Sheher, was built in the 12th century as part of the Icheri Sheher. It forms an ensemble of historical monuments inscribed in 2001 under the UNESCO World Heritage.
3) Juma Mosque
Located in the historic “Old City”, the mosque has been rebuilt several times. The present Friday Mosque was built in 1899.
After lunch we start our tour from Modern Baku.
1)Highland Park (Dag Ustu Park)
Panoramic view of Baku Bay from the highest point of the city.
“The Boulevard” was recently named as a national park. Its history goes back more than 100 years, to a time when oil barons built their mansions along the Caspian shore and when the seafront was artificially built up inch by inch.
4) Carpet museum
An excellent round-up to the city tour will be visit to the richest bank of Azeri carpets – National Carpets Museum.
Visiting Heydar Aliyev Center
The cultural center of Heydar Aliyev which is considered as one of the symbols of modern Baku is a cultural center built on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. It includes an auditorium (congress center), a museum, exhibition halls and administrative offices. The project of the center was developed in 2007 by the architect Zaha Hadid.
In 2014 it was recognized as the best building in the world – the 2014 Design of the Year award.

Day 3: Baku – Absheron Peninsula – Gobustan – Baku
Absheron peninsula tour (Ateshgah, Qala, Yanardag)
The temple of fire worshippers Ateshgah is located at the Absheron peninsula at the outskirts of Surakhani village in 30 km from the centre of Baku and was revered in different times by Zoroastrians, Hindus and Sikhs. This territory is known for such unique natural phenomenon as burning natural gas outlets (underground gas coming onto surface contacts oxygen and lights up). The temple in its present state was constructed in the 17th-18th centuries. Pentagonal complex has an open courtyard with templealtar in the center which was the place of pilgrimage for worshippers. By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan Ateshgah was declared a State historical-architectural reserve. This museum under the open sky was recently restored. Different workshops and souvenir galleries are located here now.
Qala Archaeological and Ethnographic Museum Complex
The Gala state archaeological and ethnographic museum complex is considered one of the most interesting tourist sites in Baku. One can see the burial mounds, tombs, houses, constructions, water storages, the ruins of an ancient castle, five mosques, three baths and others in the territory of this complex. All this was discovered on the Absheron Peninsula and related to the period from the third millennium BC to the twentieth century. The first archaeological and ethnographic complex in the open air was established in 2008 to preserve these monuments, as well as to replenish them as a result of the archaeological excavations in Absheron.
Yanardag (Burning Mountain)
One of the most famous and popular tourist places of the “eternal flame” in Azerbaijan is the mountain of Yanar Dag. Actually, it is rather a hill than a mountain, with natural gas burning on its slope from ancient times. Meterlong tongues of fire are licking the stratified earth approximately for 10 m in width, searing those who approached too close. People occupy the benches to watch the blazing hill in the evening, when its sight is most effective. Yanar Dag is located 25 km to the north from Baku. From the year 2007 Yanar Dag is declared a state-protected conservation area.
Also Azerbaijan keeps the first place in the world for the number of mud volcanoes. About 300 mud volcanoes are to be found in Azerbaijan. During this trip you will get a great chance to see these amazing active volcanoes from very close distance. Your tour will end in the same location where it has started.
Day 4: Baku – Shamakhi – Lahij – Gabala
On the way Shamakhi, visit Diri-Baba Mausoleum in Maraza village. Continue to Shamakhi and have a sightseeing of Yeddi Gumbez Mausoleum, and the Shirvan Shah’s family grave yard. Drive to visit Lahij, the 5th century place outstanding due to its historical interest and architectural merit. Lahij is mostly famous for magnificent ancient mosques and bath-houses. It is famous for its water supply and sewage systems, as well as traditional jewelry, copperware, carpets, pottery, daggers, and iron tools workshops.
In the afternoon, continue driving to our final destination, the city of Gabala. Overnight Qabala.
Day 5: Gabala
Qabala is a unique and beautiful region, located on the bank of Demiraparanchay River & overlooking the highest peak of Azerbaijan – Bazarduzu mountain (altitude 4466 m).
Modern infrastructure of hotels & resorts provides high level of services that will satisfy needs of worldly-wise tourists. Every summer Gabala hosts international festivals, which attract famous musicians, artists & art collectives from all over the world.

Day 6: Gabala – Kish – Sheki
In the morning, check-out from the hotel and drive to Sheki. On the way, visit the first Albanian church in Caucasus dating back to the 1st century AD. Have sightseeing tour around Sheki. Visit Sheki Khans’ Palace, a medieval fortress, and local History Museum. Continue to local mosque, handicrafts workshop, madrasah, and bazaar. Enjoy panoramic view of the town. Overnight Sheki.
Day 7: Sheki – Ganja
In the morning, depart Sheki and drive to Ganja, the second biggest city in Azerbaijan. Visit Ancient Fortress Wall, statue of Nizami Ganjavi, Shah Abbas mosque, and a unique house decorated with thousands of bottles. Overnıght Ganja.
Day 8: Naftalan
Drive to Naftalan, the center of medical tourism in Azerbaijan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 9: Naftalan
This morning we explore Naftalan, the city famous for naphthalane oil spas that stand out with medicinal properties. You can take an oil bath and relax. Free day in Naftalan. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 10: Naftalan – Quba
Drive to Quba. Check-in on arrival. Enjoy beautiful nature of Quba and Azerbaijan cuisine.Overnight at the hotel in Quba.
Day 11: Quba – Qusar
Today we can visit both Qusar and Laza.
Gusar city is the last major settlement in the north part of Azerbaijan. It is called “The North Gates” due to its geographical location as it borders with the Republic of Dagestan of the Russian Federation. Population of the region consists of Lezgins – an original nationality, with a rich culture, characterized by hospitality.
Gusar is famous for Summer-Winter touristic complex – Shahdag, operating all year round. In winter it is a popular ski resort, and in summer – a camp site in the slope of the Greater Caucasus Mountains.
Part of the Gusar territory is included to the Shahdag National Park – the largest in Azerbaijan.
Cultural life of this region is very rich. There are a lot of musical collectives, the most popular is the folklore ensemble called “Lezginka”. “Lezginka” is a popular national dance in the entire Caucasus, performed accompanied by accordion and national percussion instrument – “nagara”.
Laza village is located on the north-east of the Main Caucasian Ridge, at the foot of the high plateau “Shah Yaylag” and one of the highest peak of “Shahdag”.
Population of Laza mostly consists of ethnic Lezgins, whose history is closely connected with the Caucasian Albania, one of the most ancient states in the territory of Azerbaijan. Overnight Quba.
Day 12: Lankaran – Lerik
Enjoy beautiful nature of Lerik and Azerbaijan cuisine. Overnight at the hotel in Lerik.
Day 13: Lerik
Explore the city of Lankaran and visit the prison where Joseph Stalin was held captive
Enjoy a stop at Lerik and discover their secret to long life when you visit the Museum of Longevity Lankaran and Lerik are Located at the southern border of the country, they are full of unique attractions and museums that will make your visit more memorable. In Lankaran, you’ll visit the Circular Castle, known as the prison where Georgian revolutionary and Soviet politician Joseph Stalin was incarcerated. Lerik, on the other hand, is home to the one-of-a-kind Museum of Longevity! Here you’ll find interesting centenarians in Lerik who lived to be as old as 168 years. Other places included are the local market of Lankaran called Boyuk Bazar, the Museum of Hazi Aslanov, and more. Overnight at the hotel in Lerik.
Day 14: Lerik- Baku
Drive from Lerik to Baku. Do Shopping in Baku, Enjoy your time in famous Azerbaijani restaurant with live music.
Day 15: departure
Check-out from the hotel till noon. Free time until transfer to Baku International Airport. End of the tour.
